Rohingya Helping Rohingya
Kept imprisoned in refugee camps, how do Rohingya keep hope alive? Every day, Rohingya refugees work as volunteers to help each other.
The Bangladesh Government does not always seem to understand that Rohingya can help themselves through running their own schools and small businesses. Increasingly we see such enterprises shut down, destroyed by local authorities. And sad to say, other refugee host nations also impose restrictions.
Made by Rohingya youth leader Abdullah Habib, these short videos express the hopes and dreams of the Rohingya helpers. These Rohingya are quiet heroes, working to sustain their people’s pride, dignity, mental health and self-respect. They deserve our support.
