Not Enough Money for Rohingya Refugees News reports indicate that there will not be enough…

Ramadan, Rain and Food Reductions
Burma
Rains have come to the Rohingya, already reeling from the effects of massive fires in the camps of Cox’s Bazar and the prospect of food reductions.
Bangladesh authorities have been sharing the personal data of Rohingya with Burmese military counterparts and a Burmese team has come to interview Rohingya refugees about possible repatriation. No one knows how this is possible, since villages are destroyed and no plan has been discussed with the Rohingya people.
As in the above video, Rohingya refugees want repatriation with their rights restored. Regarding the interviews, Burma Task Force has been sharing data from our contacts in the field with international investigators.
With our allies, we protest the apparent collusion of UNHCR and other UN staff with this empty repatriation exercise. Considering the many problems in the camps of Coxs Bazar, Rohingya should be free to choose a risky path. However, international organizations have a responsibility to ensure all rights are recognized and honored and that any returning refugees are not isolated in yet another camp-like situation.
