
Bangladesh Authorities Closing Rohingya Schools, Depriving Children
After closing over 1,000 small businesses in the camps of Coxs Bazar, Bangladesh authorities are now closing Rohingya schools, further traumatizing genocide survivors and depriving tens of thousands of Rohingya children of a future. Burma Task Force has organized a group letter signed by leading Rohingya and Human Rights groups and will be delivering it to the Bangladesh Government in the next two weeks. Meanwhile, Bangladesh authorities arrested Abdu Rashid Mv. Nur Muhammed, English teacher & headmaster of New Moon Learning Center, in Rohingya Refugee Camp 3. Burma Task Force deplores the Bangladesh authorities’ arrest of teachers and administrators instead of traffickers.
