The US House overwhelmingly passed H.Resolution 90 condemning Burma. This sets the stage for the final push to pass two companion bills: Senate Bill 2060: Bill To Promote Democracy and Human Rights in Burma and House Resolution 4223: Burma Act of 2017.
Here is what you can do
- Call your Senator and Representative. Simply call Congress Switchboard (202) 224-3121 and ask to be connected to your Congressional representative or look up your Senator and Representative at www.GovTrack.us/Congress. Every call received is tallied and brought to the attention of the Representative and Senator.
- Ask them to strengthen both S. 2060 and H.R. 4223 by imposing full sanctions on Burma rather than only targeted sanctions against its military.
