Last week, several senators led by Senator Ed Markey, re-introduced the Rohingya Genocide Determination Act (S.1142). The bill would require the State Department to make a genocide determination in the case of the Rohingya. Now that Mitch McConnell is no longer Senate Speaker, he cannot block this bill.
