Thousands of Rohingyas are stranded at sea near Thailand. Burmese officials, after stripping the Rohingya of their papers and confiscating money sent to them by relatives, are colluding with Thai human traffickers to allow these Rohingya to leave Burma. This is a continuation of Burma’s genocidal campaign against Rohingya. Thailand, however, is barring these Rohingya from entering, in violation of international law.
8,000 Rohingya are stuck at sea right now, starving as they wait, according to the BBC.
