Interfaith Leaders Urge US President Take Action On Rohingya Refugee Boat Crisis

Leaders of Buddhist, Muslim, Jewish, and Christian faiths urged President Obama to take “immediate action … to save the lives of thousands stranded at sea in Southeast Asia.”  The interfaith leaders called for the President to influence regional nations to embark on search and rescue missions to save the Rohingya refugees. They also noted that the source of the refugee crisis is “the systematic abuse and persecution of the Rohingya minority by the government of Burma.” Photo: Daniel Schwen
